Prayer Requests
  1. Pray for churches and associations to adopt and commit to a specific target area for 2005-2006

  2. Pray for God to raise up indigenous leaders, laborers from the harvest, for the eight (8) target areas.

  3. Pray that we will be able to discern where God is at work and be willing to join Him.

  4. Pray for God to prepare the hearts of the people in each target area to be open to the Gospel, prepare the soil.

  5. Pray that God will identify a "Person of Peace" in each target area where God is already working.

Prayer Projects 2005 - 2006

You are invited to adopt a "TARGET" area for intense prayer that God will prepare people to receive the Gospel and raise up leaders for and from the harvest to start new Churches.
 

1.  New Hudson, MI
  • Lyon Township, southwest corner of Oakland County.

  • Fast growing population area, many new homes, condos, and apartments.

  • New, large shopping area with restaurants.

2. M-15 Corridor (N. of Clarkston, MI)
  • Fast growing area north of I-75 toward Ortonville.

  • Heavy traffic going north.

  • New subdivisions through Ortonville.

  • No Southern Baptist work in the area.

3. Holly, MI
  • Northwest Oakland County.

  • No Southern Baptist Church in Township.

  • Site of Renaissance Festival every fall.

  • Church of Scientology in town.

4. Spanish, Pontiac, MI
  • First Spanish American, only Spanish church, Carlos Quinones, Pastor.

  • Large influx of Spanish people.

  • Many new Spanish restaurants.

  • People from multiple Spanish speaking countries

5. Central American, West Bloomfield, MI
  • Bible Study already begun by Central American leader.

  • Meeting now in American Baptist Church.

  • Looking for affordable, appropriate place to worship.

  • Pray for leaders and core group of 10.

6. Korean, 2nd Generation, Farmington Hills, MI
  • No second generation Korean church in Detroit area.

  • Burden of Rev. Key Han, Pastor of Korean New Life Church.

  • Large and growing population of second generation Koreans.

7. Romanian, 2nd Generation, Troy, MI 
  • Many Romanians have been born in U. S.

  • Youth and young adults speak English in work world.

  • Burden of Pastor Sorin Covaci.

 

8. Asian Indian, Rochester Hills & Farmington Hills, MI
  • Potential leaders in New Life Church.

  • Many Asian Indians in both areas.

  • Many speak Tamil and scriptures are available.

  • Probable sponsoring local church.
